13 Nights & 14 Days NZ Self Drive

Day 1: Arrival in Auckland

Upon landing in the ‘city of sails’ you will pick up your rental car and make your own way to your Hotel. After checking in to your hotel, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. This vibrant city has a lot to offer, we will give you a list of suggested eateries, bars and cafes, closer to your arrival. Day 2:Auckland: Sky Tower

Today after breakfast, visit Sky Tower which is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s an exciting hub of adrenaline activities, superb dining and breathtaking views.



 Day 3: Auckland to Rotorua via Waitomo Glowworm Caves

After breakfast, upon check out of the hotel in Auckland and drive to Rotorua via Waitomo. Enjoy a tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm caves and a silent boat ride through Glowworm Grotto, which is illuminated by thousands of tiny glowworms. After conclusion of tour you will drive to Rotorua in the city centre.



 Day 4: Rotorua: TePuia:Te Ra 60 Min. Day Pass

Today after breakfast,head out to experienceTePuia. TeWhakarewarewa Thermal Valley has inspired the local Maori people for centuries the guides will recount stories handed down from their ancestors as you explore this unique geothermal reserve with its boiling mud and sulphur pools and the 30 metre (100 ft) Pohutu Geyser, which erupts up to 20 times a day. Tour concludes approximately 60 minutes after commencement, at TePuia.


Day 5: Bay of Island: Leisure Day

Today after breakfast, check out of the hotel in Rotorua and drive to your hotel in Bay of Island. After checking into your hotel, you will have the day at your leisure.



Day 6: Auckland: Hole in the Rock Cruise

Today after breakfast, you will head out to commence a half day 'Hole in the Rock' Dolphin Cruise. Dolphin Seeker will allow you to take in the stunning views as you glide out through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over and Piercy Island/Motukôkako, or as it is popularly known the Hole in the Rock'. According to Mâori legend, local warriors used to paddle through the Hole in the Rock in their canoes before departing for battle. Drops of water from the cave roof above were a good omen. If conditions permit, your skipper will expertly guide the ship through the narrow space... and if you get dripped on, consider yourself lucky! Keep an eye out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life during your cruise, and have your camera ready as we get you up close to the action. The purpose-built catamaran is licensed by DOC (the Department of Conservation) for dolphin viewing and the crew have years of experience locating dolphins in these waters. In the evening drive back to Auckland.


Day 7: Queenstown: Leisure Day

Today after breakfast,check out from the hotel in Bay of Island and drive to Auckland airport. Drop off your rental car and board on your flight Auckland to Queenstown. Upon landing in Queenstown, you will pick up your rental car from airport and drive to your hotel in Queenstown, after checking in to your hotel, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.  Day 8: Queenstown: Milford Sound Cruise Entry

After a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, you will drive down to Milford sound, which is a 4 hour drive one way, where you will board a ferry to start a magnificent journey through the waters to experience one of the world’s natural wonders. Get up close to steep cliffs rising out of the deep blue water and watch fur seals sunbathing on rocks. Visit the 160-metre high Bowen Falls or the Stirling Falls, which cascade into the fiord, like a giant shower. Some boats have underwater viewing observatories. Look out for penguins and dolphins, as well as whales – the occasional one makes it all the way into the fiords.


Day 9: Queenstown: Skyline Gondola Ride


After a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, you will head out to experience Gondola Ride. Take a scenic Gondola ride on the Southern Hemisphere's steepest Gondola for quick and easy access to Queenstown's most spectacular views. The Gondola rises 450 vertical metres above Queenstown on an average incline of 37.10 to the Skyline complex on Bob's Peak.


Day 10: Wanaka: Puzzling World Entry

Today after breakfast,check out of the hotel Queenstown and drive to Wanaka. After checking into your hotel in Wanaka. You will head out to visit Puzzling World. Stuart Landsborough's Puzzling World is a tourist attraction near Wanaka, New Zealand. It started out as just a single level maze in 1973, but over the years expanded to add overbridges to the maze design (thus creating the world's first 3-D maze), a large "puzzling cafe" where guests could try out several puzzles, five large rooms of optical illusions, the Leaning Tower of Wanaka (which has a backwards clock that was started on the eve of the new millennium) and other attractions (such as the Roman Bathrooms) that ascribe to their theme of "puzzling eccentricity".



Day 11: Franz Josef: Leisure Day

Today after breakfast,check out of the hotel Wanaka and drive to Franz Josef. After checking into your hotel in Franz Josef. You will have the rest of the evening at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace.



Day 12: Franz Josef: Glacier Hot Pools: Public Pool Entry

Today after breakfast, experience Glacier Hot Pools.  Day 13: Christchurch: Scenic Drive Franz Josef to Christchurch

Today after breakfast,check out of the hotel Franz Josef and drive to Christchurch. After checking into your hotel in Christchurch. You will have the rest of the evening at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace.



Day 14: Departure Day

As per your return tickets, make you way to Christchurch Airport. Drop off your rental car and board your flight back to your home with sweet memories.
